I began organising my sister’s baby shower with a bit of guilt and heartache (see my post Miserable and guilty) but soon the excitement took hold and I dived into the planning! The shower date was quickly set and I got to work on designing the invitation. The invitation was a simple but cute design and it was sent out as soon as the guest list was finalised.
I had already decided what present I wanted to get for the parents-to-be – a maternity or newborn photographic shoot with Jeanette. She was kind enough to create a voucher for me which I printed out with a simple design in the background. I kept the creativity going by making an envelope out of corrugated cardboard.
And the creativity continued with making the card… I rummaged through my present-wrapping drawers and found some awesome little odds and ends.
I finished off the hand-made envelope with some silver ribbon and a bow. What do you think?
I have a few awesome decor ideas up my sleeve, including a surprise of yumminess from Angel. So be sure to see the follow-up post of the baby shower including some pics!
