Last night I attended a Just Dance 4 event at Slow in the City in Sandton. They really did live up to their promise on their invitation of a night of cocktails, dancing and giveaways, not to mention a ton of FUN!
Not only were we treated to the most delicious food, we also got to work off any extra calories from this delish food by trying out Just Dance 4 which was setup on two separate XBoxes with Kinects and TVs. It took a little while to get the hang of using your hand as a selector but once you got it the dance floor was at your feet! I tried out quite a few of the songs and found most of the dance moves to be easy (though maybe the drops of alcoholic cocktails helped my co-ordination). Our hostess also told us of the Sweat Mode where you can dance and see how many calories you are burning. I’m not sure how accurate this is but I’m sure the more you mimic the moves of the dancer, the closer you’ll be to the amount of calories burned.
So on top of the amazing food and the chance to test out the game, there were also goodie bags and a few giveaways. We were really spoiled with the goodie bags! See…
I now have my very own copy of the game as well as a host of other Just Dance 4 goodies, Wireless Wipes, and Marc Jacobs perfume samples.
I was also very lucky to have one first prize in the giveaways. You see each time you danced you had to write your name down on a Post-It note and put it in the bowl. Each note was an entry. And the more times you danced, the more entries you got, and the higher the chance was of winning. Needless to say I was ecstatic to have my name drawn because I won this…
Lola perfume by Marc Jacobs, a wristband by Marc Jacobs, a bag by Marc Jacobs, and a Just Dance 4 bag too. I tried a little of the perfume last night and it smells divine!
So now that I have a copy of the game, I am going to have to implore the Husband to get us a Kinect so that I can play some more at home.
