Crème Brûlée

I had this great dessert at Midori Sushi at the Morningside Shopping Centre last night when I went to dinner with a group of Twitter friends.

It is listed as “Crème Brûlée Chef’s Choice” on their dessert menu and is priced at *R32.00 per portion. This chef’s choice crème brûlée was Amarula flavoured and was served in a white ramekin with a cherry on top.

My Thoughts

This dessert wasn’t much different to a normal crème brûlée other than it having a hint of Amarula (chef’s choice for the evening). This “hint” made it wonderful to eat without thinking you were drinking straight out of the Amarula bottle. I can’t say that it was the best crème brûlée I’ve had, but it definitely was tasty!

Try it and let me know what you think!

  1. For me Creme Brulee is the queen of desserts – exactly what I like. So I almost always eat it if it is on a menu and I am very fussy about it.
